"Lucky Bamboos"
I like to draw still subjects. One day, I was sick...and bored of being sick, and my gaze settled on these lucky bamboos. I had made Joseph and Smitha buy them for me after Joseph killed my bamboo plant (they were supposed to take care of it while I was gone on one of my conferences).
Free hand drawing, and water colors.
I kinda like this one! :)

Hey, that is what they are called..."Lucky Bamboos"! Why they are called so, I have no clue. Apparently, one should have them in numbers of 3,5,7,9,15 etc. Each set of bamboos is supposed to bring you luck, happiness, prosperity etc. I am not sure which number signifies what!

Unfortunately, one of the bamboos in this pot has perished as well!

Thats true Jas..the chinese believe that bamboos bring good luck and are considered a sign of prosperity...like Vaasthu Shastra in India...the Chinese practice the art of Feng Shui which literally means Wind nd Water.

Thanks for visiting my blog, Akshay.

Oh, I wasn't sure whether the bamboos were also a part of the feng shui.
